COVID REGULATIONS: Masks are mandatory
for all guests attending the Winter Light Festival unless actively
eating or drinking. Guests are asked to attend in groups of 10 or fewer.
Larger groups may be asked to stagger their entry to prevent congestion
at the gate. Proof of vaccine not required for guests attending the
festival unless booking private indoor events. Please see all our COVID updates prior to attending the Winter Light Festival.
Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind as you Experience the
Friendship at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden's annual Winter Light Festival!
Bundle up and take in our massive light display, ice sculptures, and
other surprises throughout the garden! Learn about Japanese customs and
traditions that they celebrate during the winter months.
Those with pre-purchased tickets can proceed directly to the main
gates for entry. If you have purchased a food and drink package
(Tomodachi or Kazoku) you may pick up your items at the Yanoshita
Centre, formerly the Visitors Centre, located in the small building on
the left hand side of the pathway leading to the garden. The Yanoshita
Centre will also feature a delightful candy shop so be sure to stop by!
Some tickets may be available to purchase at the Bunka Centre on each
night, but availability is not guaranteed. Gift shop and bathrooms are
located in the Bunka Centre, bathrooms are also available in the
Yanoshita Centre.
The garden pathways are one-way only, please follow the signs and
arrows and ensure you are maintaining a distance of 6 feet from other
guests.
