Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden will be celebrating Toro Nagashi this August 15. Guests can float a water lantern to help guide the souls of deceased friends and family to the spirit world. Toro Nagashi, meaning "flowing lanterns", also typically marks the end of Obon, which is a Buddhist festival that honours the spirits of one’s ancestors. It is a moving and healing ceremony and can help greatly in the grieving process. This ceremony is included with your admission to the garden.

Daily Schedule:

  • 1:30-2:30PM: Tad & Tomo Moon Stories
  • 7-10PM: Lantern floating ($7 Admission after 7PM)
