May 12th - October 15th 2012 Season

May 12th Garden opens with Children's activities all day long focused on Mother's Day.

All Mothers attending the Garden will receive a free gift.

May 19th - Moonlight Viewing 8:30-10:30 pm.  Cost $5 per person and children are free.

June 16th - Father's Day Activities

June 16th - Moonlight Viewing 9:00 - 11:00 pm Cost $5 per person and children are free.

June 23rd - Kite Festival 12:00 - 5:00 pm

July 1st - Canada Day Festivities all day

July 1st - Evening Fireworks Display 10:00 - 12:00 midnight - $5 per person and children are free.

July 2nd - Tanabata Tanzuko Festival

July 14th - Nikka Yuko's 45th Birthday Celebration complete with cake!

July 21st - Moonlight Viewing - 10:00 - Midnight $5 per person and children are free.

August 4th - Summer Celebration - Japanese cultural activities all day long.

August 18th - Moonlight Viewing & Toro Nagashi Floating Lanterns - 10:00 - Midnight.  $5 per person and children are free.

September 15th - Moonlight Viewing 9:30 - 11:30 pm.  $5 per person and children are free.

September 17th - Keiro No Hi - Celebration of Seniors events from 1:00 - 4:30.  All seniors visiting Nikka Yuko receive a free gift.

October - 13th - Moonlight Viewing 9:00 - 11:00 pm.  $5 per person and children are free.

October 15th - Closing Day

Wedding Photography Gallery

Book your wedding photo session in our breathtaking garden.

Cost $150 for up to 15 people (excluding photographer).  Additional people in your party will be $5 each.

We recommend booking ahead as weekends for the summer season book up fast.

Nikka Yuko now has audio tours!

We are pleased to announce that Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden now has an audio tour!  It is the same amazing experience of our serenity garden with even more information!  This is an excellent way to be fully immersed in Japanese Culture and experience of the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden.

Audio tour made possible through a Grant from Community Foundation of Lethbridge & Southwestern Alberta and Sponsorship by Wesbridge Construction Ltd.
Photography Workshop Spring 2012

With the great success of our first photography workshop we are now going to be hosting another!  Come experience the beauty of the garden with our fall colours and you will have a chance to take pictures at dusk.   
This workshop is held by Mike Patterson Spring 2012.

New 2012 Garden Calendars Out

2012 Calendars can be purchased for $10.00 in the Visitor Center Get a free calendar with the purchase of a 2012 Season Pass to the Garden.

This second Annual calendar features beautiful photos of the Garden and many of our volunteers demonstrating different arts and crafts.
Annual General Meeting

The Lethbridge & District Japanese Garden Society will host its 2012 Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers on February 28, 2012.  The Meeting will be held at the Visitor Centre at Nikka Yuko from 4:30 p.m to 5:00 p.m.  All members are welcome to attend.
